About
Rachel Micallef Somerville is an experimental visual artist and researcher based between Malta and Berlin. Through her art practice, she navigates the shared domains of landscape and body, blending ideas from posthumanism and queer feminist film theory. Her work embraces polyvocality, explores the intricacies of outer and inner space, and invites people to question the ingrained dualities that shape our human experience.
Her first solo photography exhibition, Fragmented and Whole, took place in Malta in June 2021. She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Creative Media Production from the MCAST Institute for the Creative Arts, and an MA in Filmmaking from MetFilm School Berlin.
